2025 A YEAR OF FAITHFUL STEWARDSHIP (PART 9)

In Romans 10:9 it says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

So where are all the sins that you have to confess to get saved? It doesn’t say that.

It says, If you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and if you confess the Lord Jesus, you shall be saved.

Now some people are still trying to get saved by confessing their sins.

They even take this scripture in Luke 24:47, “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”

So what do I preach? I preach Jesus Christ, who took away my sin so that I can repent now and change my mind and receive Him as Lord and Saviour of my life.

Not to confess your sin over and over again to get your salvation.

Because every time you close your eyes, you’ll remember something you’ve done that you’ve not confessed to the Lord.

So you keep confessing that. And then after a while you keep confessing something else.

But that’s not the confession that God wants.

When you say, “Lord Jesus, I believe that you died for me and you rose again and you took care of my sin so that today I’m free, I’m made a righteous person. I have a right standing with God.”

Then you receive the new nature so that you don’t have a desire to sin no more.

Even if I sin, I have my advocate who stands for me.

So I thank God for His goodness so I can walk free from sin.
