“Be strong and courageous!” (Part 21)

From Matthew 7:15 onwards, Jesus speaks about false prophets and explains how we are to judge them.

And also in verse 21 He said, "Many will come and say unto Me Lord, Lord, I did all these things in Your name.”

He is connecting from verse 15 to verse 21 and up to verse 24.

Matthew 7:24, “Therefore whosoever hear these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:”

This person dug deep. You can see that in the book of Luke, chapter 6, verse 48.

To overcome the challenges He mentions from verse 15 onwards, you must have a strong foundation.

Realize that you will face many dark times in life.

Matthew 7:24
“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,......”

This is not only talking about natural winds and rains, but it's also talking about things in life that you have to face.

It says here, "It did not fall."

Why didn't it fall? Because it was founded upon the rock.

And Who is the Rock? Jesus.

Who is Jesus? The Word of God.

Jesus and the Word are inseparable; they are one.

And the next verse says, "He who hears my sayings and does them not…." (Luke 6:47)

That’s the person who says, “The Word is not important for me. I'll only hear the Word of God, but I'm not a doer of it.”

You know I have always made it a point to hear the Word and do it.
