SAY IT ALOUD:

• God has not given to me the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

• I am far from oppression and fear does not come near me. (Isa. 54:14)

• When I lie down, I shall not be afraid: yes, I shall lie down, and my sleep shall be sweet. I will not be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the destruction of the wicked, when it comes. For the LORD shall be my confidence, and shall keep my foot from being taken. (Prov. 3:24-26)

• Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me Lord; Your Word and Your Spirit they comfort me.

• I will not be afraid of bad news: for my heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. My heart is established, I shall not be afraid. (Psa. 112:7-8)

• I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. (Psa. 91:5-6)

• God said, ‘Fear not, for I am with you: be not dismayed for I am Your God: I will strengthen You; Yes, I will help You; Yes, I will uphold You with the right hand of my righteousness.’ (Isa. 41:10)

• I will not be anxious or worry about anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving I will let my requests be made known unto God. And the Peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:6-7) 

• I cast all my care and anxiety upon the Lord; for He cares for me. (1 Pet. 5:7)

• I will not be anxious about tomorrow; I will give full attention to what God is doing right now. I will not get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. For God will help me deal with any hard thing that comes up. (Mat. 6:34)

• I will not be anxious nor troubled and get myself worked up over nothing. Jesus said, only one thing is essential – that is to hear and obey His Word continually. (Luke 10:39-42)

• I will not let the cares (anxieties and the worries) of this world nor the deception of riches and the lusts for other things, come into my heart and put a stop to the growth of the Word that it becomes unfruitful. But I will hear the Word and with an honest and good heart bring forth fruit with patience. (Mark 4:19, Luke 8:15)

• Heaviness (anxiety–care and worry) in my heart will weigh me down (bring depression); but a good Word makes it glad. (Prov. 12:25)

• FOR WITH GOD NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE. (Luke 1:37)

•  BEHOLD, I AM THE LORD, THE GOD OF ALL FLESH: IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR ME? (JER. 32:27)

• JESUS SAID, WITH MEN THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE; BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. (MAT. 19:26)

• AH LORD GOD! BEHOLD, YOU HAVE MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH BY YOUR GREAT POWER & OUTSTRETCHED ARM, AND THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR YOU...(JER. 32:17)

• JESUS SAID, IF YOU HAVE FAITH AS A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, YOU SHALL SAY UNTO THIS MOUNTAIN, MOVE FROM THIS PLACE TO THAT; AND IT SHALL MOVE; AND NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE UNTO YOU. (MAT. 17:20)

The Word of God is forever settled IN heaven. (Psa. 119:89)

 

Your Word is true from the beginning... (Psa. 119:160)

 

The word of the Lord endures forever. (1 Pet. 1:25)

 

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Mat. 24:35)

 

Therefore I Establish His Word Upon This Earth.

Jesus Christ is our model. With the Scriptures, He encountered temptations and overcame them, answered His critics, and even prayed the words of the Psalms on the cross. Praying the Scriptures is talking to God in His own language. How does a baby learn to talk? By listening to His Father’s voice.

God’s Word spoken in the Spirit is His two-edged weapon.

Ephesians 6:17 says, “Take the sword of the Spirit – which is the Word of God.”

Fill your prayers with the powerful weapon of God’s Word. No soldier would dare to report for duty without a weapon. His life depends on it – so does yours.

Bring the power of the Word into your praise and prayer. The only thing that matters in our warfare is the faithful use of His precious blade – the Word.

God binds Himself to His Promises; so learn to pray the Promises of God. Speak and Confess the Promises of God and God will confirm His Word.

The Bible says in Numbers 23:10, “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the Son of man, that He should repent; has He said, and shall He not do it? or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?”

Every promise is like a cheque which is nothing more than a piece of paper until it is cashed at the bank. Praying the Word of God is to encash His Promises.  Always pray with an open Bible, filling your praise and petition with God’s Word.

• Pray God’s Promises – His declarations concerning Himself.
• Pray His Names and Titles by which He reveals His nature and character.
• Pray the rights He has given to you as a believer, for bold and confident access.

When a need arises, spread them all over before God Who hears His children. Our Heavenly Father will not break His Word to His own child (Numbers 30:2).

Praying the Word of God will build your faith. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God: (Romans 10:17). Praying the Scriptures assures that you are praying the mind and the will of God.  Our Prayers are in line with the will of God, when they are prayed according to the Word of God.

Praying God’s Word seals the answer. Promises predict the answers and they assure us what to expect. Isaiah 55:11 says, “God’s Word never returns to Him void – without accomplishing what He desires. You cannot be worried and anxious in your mind and call that prayer.

Praying God’s Word brings God’s power into our prayers. Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing is ever impossible.” No Word from God shall be without power or impossible to be fulfilled. You must pray by saying, ‘Lord, Be it unto me according to Your Word’ (Luke 1:38).

Praying the Scriptures orchestrates prayer agreement for multiplied power. The Bible says, “Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword” (Leviticus 26:8).

HOW DO WE PRAY THE SCRIPTURES?

Read a verse or a scripture passage and ask God to explain to you what He sees in it. He will give you a praise, a confession, or a petition based on the passage. Pray it back to God.

Praying the Word of God is ‘God-oriented praying’ (a good antidote to self-centered shopping-list praying). When praying a promise, focus on God’ Who gave the promise, Whose name and character guarantee the fulfillment of the promise.

Seek His face, and not His hand. Gaze at God and glance at the requests. Match His attributes, His names to your needs and give God all the glory!

Jesus said in John 6:63, “It is the Spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life.”

The result of praying the scriptures will allow you to abide in the presence of the Lord even more.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, “If you continue in My Word, then you are My disciples indeed; And you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free. If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:31-32, 36).

Set your mind on the Lord, in gratitude and love for the answers you desire to see in your prayers. This will enable your heart to be overwhelmed as you meditate on the victory that has already been won for you.

As you begin to abide in Him and let His Words abide in you, you will bring forth much fruit – for without Him you can do nothing (John 15:4-7).

Make a decision to rejoice and be joyful always. Pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

Delight in Him and meditate upon His Word day and night, for then you shall make your way prosperous and you shall have good success (Joshua 1:8,  Psalms 1:2).
