SCRIPTURE CONFESSIONS ON JOY

Lord Jesus, I abide in You so that Your joy will remain in me, and that my joy will be full.

(John 15:11)

Lord, You have turned my sorrow into joy.

(John 16:20)

Lord, You cause my heart to rejoice, and no one can take my joy from me.

(John 16:22)

I Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, I Rejoice in the Lord always!

(Philippians 4:4)

Behold, God is my Salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: LORD JEHOVAH, You are my strength and my song; You also have become my Salvation. Therefore with joy I will draw water from the wells of Salvation. Your joy is my strength. You are my joy and my strength.

(Isaiah 12:2-3; Nehemiah 8:10)

Lord, Your Word is to me the joy and the rejoicing of my heart!

(Jeremiah 15:16)

Father God, You have shown me the path of Life. In Your presence is fullness of joy, and at Your right hand are pleasures for evermore.

(Psalm 16:11)

Father God, You have given me the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that we might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that You might be glorified.

(Isaiah 61:3)

God, You are my exceeding joy!

(Psalm 43:4)

Now the God of hope fills me with all joy and peace in believing, that I may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

(Romans 15:13)

As I live in the Spirit, and also walk in the Spirit, The Holy Spirit in me produces the fruit of joy.

(Galatians 5:22)

Lord, I choose to count it all joy when I fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of my faith works patience. (James 1:2)

Lord, You said that I’m blessed when men shall revile and persecute me, and shall say all manner of evil against me falsely, for Your sake. I will Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is my reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before me.

(Matthew 5:12)

I will greatly rejoice when I hear the brethren testify of the truth, even as I walk in the truth.

(3 John 3)

My heart rejoices, because I seek You, Lord.

(1 Chronicles 16:10)

Walking every day in the Spirit

(Romans 8)

  • There is no condemnation to me for I am in Christ Jesus. I walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
  • Those that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh but I am after the Spirit and I mind the things of the Spirit. Being carnally minded is death but I am spiritually minded which is life and peace.
  • I am in the Spirit and not in the flesh, because the Spirit of God dwells in me.
  • Christ is in me therefore my body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
  • The Spirit of God that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me, and He that raised up Christ from the dead also gives life to my mortal body by His Spirit that dwells in me.
  • I am not a debtor to the flesh, to live after the flesh. I refuse to live after the flesh and be spiritually dead but I choose to live through the Spirit. It is through the Spirit that I do mortify the deeds of my body and I shall live.
  • I am a Son of God and I am led by the Spirit of God.
  • I have not received the Spirit of bondage again to fear; but I have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby I cry, “Abba Father.”
  • The Spirit Himself bears witness with my spirit that I am a child of God. And because I am a child of God, I am an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ; if so be that I suffer with Him, I may be also glorified together.
  • The Spirit also helps me when I am in want of strength, in times of weakness, when I need to understand a thing, to do things great and glorious, to restrain corrupt desires, during feebleness of body and mind. For when I know not what I should pray for as I ought, the Spirit Himself makes intercession for me (He comes into my prayer life) with groanings which cannot be uttered (words that cannot be expressed in ordinary language).
  • And the Father searches the hearts and knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Holy Spirit makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And I know that all things work together for my good because I love God and am called according to His purpose.

(1 Corinthians 2)

  • My speech and preaching is not with enticing words of man’s wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. My faith will not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
  • I speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world unto our glory.
  • But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the things that God has prepared for them that love Him. But God has revealed them unto me by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yes the deep things of God.
  • Now I have not received the Spirit of the world but the spirit which is of God; that I might know the things that are freely given to me of God.
  • Which things I also speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
  • I receive the things of the Spirit of God because I spiritually discern them. I am spiritual and judge all things yet I myself am judged of no man.
  • I have the mind of the Lord – the mind of Christ.

(1 John 2)

  • I have an unction from the Holy One and I know all things.
  • The anointing which I have received of Him abides in me and I need not that any man teach me: but the same anointing teaches me of all things and is truth and is no lie, and even as it has taught me, I shall abide in Him.

(John 16)

  • The Spirit of truth has come; He guides me into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak; and He will show me things to come.
  • He shall glorify Jesus: for He shall receive from Jesus and shall show it unto me.
  • All things that the Father has belong to Jesus: therefore as Jesus said, that the Holy Spirit shall take of Jesus and shall show it unto me.
