BUILD ON THE RIGHT FOUNDATION! (PART 1)

In Luke 6:46-49 and in Matthew 7:24-27 Jesus talks about laying the right foundation. 

He describes two men: one is a success in life, and the other is a failure. 

Jesus said, “What good does it do for you to say, ‘I am your Lord and Master’ if you don't put into practice what I teach you?” 

Let me describe and show you the one who truly follows Me and who hears and does what I say: 

He is like a man who chooses the right place to build a house and then lays a deep and secure foundation. 

When the storms and floods rage against that house, it continues to stand strong and unshaken through the tempest, for he built it wisely on the right foundation. 

But the one who has heard my teaching and does not obey it is like a man who builds a house without laying any foundation at all. 

When the storms, floods rage and the winds blew against that house, it will immediately collapse and become a total loss. 

Which of these two builders will you be?

In these two situations, both men heard the Word, but only one man stood against the storm. 

Some people think that only one was saved but that is not what Jesus said. 

Both men heard the Word but only one was a doer of what Jesus said. 

The person who only hears the Word says, "Hallelujah, Praise God! 

It was good; It was wonderful; I felt great today!

Then he walks on and allows destruction to sweep away his house. 

Disaster strikes, and he can only stand and watch helplessly. 

He has no power with which to stand against the storm.
